Project Description
When Nancy and Randy moved into their new home 17 years ago, they promised the first thing they would update would be the master bathroom. Recently they decided that it is, in fact, time to remodel the master bathroom. They liked that the existing space had lots and lots of storage, but disliked that the shower, as described by Nancy, “is so small you can’t even change your mind in there.”
They are both avid runners, and dreamed of having a comfortable whirlpool tub to soothe their tired muscles. Nancy also requested just a little ledge to rest a toe on for shaving, though she had developed great balance in the tiny shower. Maintaining great storage was a must, and a separate water closet was desired.
We reworked the layout to fit a larger shower and W C, and added a wall between the bedroom and bath to give some privacy and separation between the two spaces. They are a fun couple with beautiful artwork and were open to bringing in some color. We selected glass tile in various shades of blue on the walls, and went with a bright, dark blue for the cabinets.
Three storage mirrored cabinets and lots of drawers took care of the storage needs, and a built-in tissue drawer takes care of allergy attacks.
