1. Continuing the flooring from the bathroom into the shower will help make the space feel larger.
2. Linear drains give you more flexibility of what type and size of flooring you can use in the shower since the floor just has to slope one direction.
3. Consider heating the shower bench if you are already heating the rest of the bathroom flooring.
4. Make sure to place the controls out of the shower spray. Controls don’t have to be under the shower head – they can be anywhere! And nobody wants to stand in the cold shower spray to turn the water on!
5. Make niches a design element.
6. If you don’t have room to add bench to your shower, consider a corner shelf instead as a place to rest your foot while shaving.
7. A handheld showerhead is not only great for showering but also for ease of cleaning the shower or even pets!
